ARTRIP TRAILERS SALES & SERVICE

about ARTRIP TRAILERS

Artrip trailers is a family owned and operated business in the northern part of the beautiful SHENANDOAH VALLEY. We are just off interstate 81, Exit 313, on FRONT ROYAL PIKE (Rt 522 south, 3 miles on the right). We have been at the same location selling new and used horse and livestock trailers for over 60 years. My father, W. F. ARTRIP Jr. (Buddie), a very respected auctioneer - horse & cattle dealer up and down the east coast started the business in the early to mid 60s. I joined him in the business in the early 70s while still attending high school. In the mid 70s we went full bore into trailers. I would go to the manufactures and pick up the trailers and dad was the main salesman while I was on the road. We also had a network of other dealers in different states that we supplied trailers to. I would deliver them to their locations on one of our trucks that we designed and had built to haul them on. I was also a salesman and did all of the service on the trailers that we sold. I still do to this today. I graduated from JAMES WOOD HIGH SCHOOL in 1976. Shortly after that I started dating a lovely gal named LEIGH ANN. She was a 1981 graduate of JOHN HANDLY HIGH SCHOOL, a 1983 graduate of LORD FAIRFAX COMMUNITY COLLEGE and was working for a local veterinary. We were married in 1984 and she is my right hand in the business. She does most of the paper work along with helping me work on the trailers and she is also a licensed salesman. We have two sons. William (Will) who graduated from MILLBROOK HIGH SCHOOL and MOUNTAIN VISTA GOVERNORS SCHOOL at LORD FAIRFAX COLLEGE in 2010 and graduated from the UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA in 2014 and Walter Lee who graduated from MILLBROOK HIGH SCHOOL in 2014 also. Both have helped in the business many times.

Over the years we have expanded the business to include new lines and brands of trailers. We can now offer a trailer for just about any of your needs. New for 2017 we have expanded both our sales lot and our product line. We are also proud to announce that we are now franchised dealers for CUSTOM FAB all aluminum livestock trailers and NEXHAUL brand cargo trailers.

Dad retired many years ago but at age 84 he still has a big roll as adviser to the business and to myself. I have been so blessed to have a wonderful family, great friends, outstanding customers with many being repeat buyers and a growing business that has been my life long dream. I would like to thank everyone for their business and all my friends and family for their support over the years. May it continue for many more. Lastly I would like to say THANK YOU dear LORD, for it is only through you and your son JESUS that any of this could be possible.

Sadly, we lost my Dad last April 2016 at the age of 87. He lived a very full life and built a well respected business. One that we will continue to operate and expand through the years to come. Thank you Dad for everything you have done for me through out the years and for the love and guidance you gave me. May I live up to your name. We love you and miss you everyday.  Frank
